Recently, PAUL opened their first location in Virginia at Tyson’s Galleria, while Pastries by Randolph added gold-flake-topped macarons, dotted with fresh raspberries to their delicious lineup (pictured right).Below is a map to all the places you can find these delicious little pastries in Northern Virginia. Marked with a star (★) are my favorites. Find out where you can find peculiar flavors–like yogurt and pumpkin–and find out how much they cost per cookie at each shop.

gmicon_01Pastries by Randolph ★
4500 Lee Hwy, Arlington; 703-243-0070; website.
Possibly my most favorite bakery in the area–I’m excited to say that Randolphs now offers giant gold-flaked macarons filled with sweet cream and fresh raspberries for $5 each! This is, however, the only “french macaron” they’ve added to their lineup. They do not offer bite-sized macarons, and raspberry is the only flavor they offer.
gmicon_01 Artisan Confections (Michel) ★
1025 North Fillmore St, Arlington; 703-524-0007; order here.
Pre-order your french macarons from Michel Patisserie and have them delivered or pick them up from Artisan Confections in Arlington. A former pastry chef at Laduree (famous for their one-of-a-kind macarons in Paris), Michel now resides in NoVA where he takes special orders and bakes macarons at home in exotic flavors like pandan leaf, salted caramel, red velvet and cherry blossom.
gmicon_01 Breeze Bakery
4125 Hummer Road, Annandale; 703-462-9093; website.
The Korean bakery in Annandale offers bite-sized macarons in flavors like apricot, lemon, raspberry, vanilla and more for $1.50 each or a box of 6 assorted flavors for $8 (pictured above in the middle). These aren’t my favorite, and I tweeted about how they fell apart like tiny sandcastles before I got to take a bite from them.
gmicon_01 Shilla Bakery
7039 Little River Turnpike, Annandale; 703-333-2001; website.
